African Extracts Rooibos 3-in-1 VS Garnier Pure Active 3-In-1

African Extracts Rooibos 3-in-1 VS Garnier Pure Active 3-In-1

If there’s one thing I always try to get right in my daily beauty routine, that’s my skincare. I cleanse every morning and night and I’ve been using anti-wrinkle products since the age of 25. One thing for sure is that I always try to enjoy beauty at the best price possible so if that means finding something equally as good for a better price then you have my attention.

I’ve been using the Garnier Pure Active 3-in-1 Wash, Scrub and Mask for about 6 years now. It usually retails for about R70 – R100 ($5 – $7) depending on where you buy it and whoever is running a promotion at the time (someone is always running a promotion on it). I love using this product as it does a brilliant job at cleansing my skin and I don’t have any bad reactions to this face wash.

I purchase it from either Pick ‘n Pay, Dischem or Clicks – whoever has it cheapest at the time (Clicks is selling it for R84.95 at the moment) but sometimes on the rare occasion neither of them would be running a promotion then you’d need to cough up that R100. I’ve always looked for good alternatives and dupes for this face wash but it’s so difficult to find one that will give you all the same benefits. The 2 that I have tried beforehand was the Garnier Fresh Radiance Boosting Scrub (R69.95) and the Ponds Multi Action Foam + Scrub (R51.95) and although both great products, they either didn’t offer the mask option, or didn’t have salicylic acid in the ingredients  (good for acne) or they didn’t have enough scrub effect.

wtbimg_2432I recently stumbled upon the African Extracts Rooibos 3-in-1 Face Wash, Mask and Scrub when I received a sample size in one of the goodie bags I got from an event. From the first time I used it I immediately fell in love with the product and knew instantly that it would be replacing my Garnier face wash. It smells amazing, it’s locally made, it’s cheaper, it scrubs, washes and acts as a mask too. So I went out to buy a full size product and have been using it ever since.

The Garnier face wash and African Extracts face wash might look like different sizes but they’re actually the same size and have the same amount of contents so you’ll be saving money when opting for our local brand. For only R59.95 the African Extracts Rooibos 3-in-1 Face Wash is a winner in my books!

Make sure you share this dupe alert and let others know how they can also save!

XOXO

Thanks for the review as I was trying to get a face wash that I could replace my garnier face wash as the price keeps changing at various stores . Now with this option I can save and get the same results .

So glad to hear Nimisha! I’ve permanently switched over to the African Extracts face wash now and my skin hasn’t reacted badly even after prolonged use. Have you gotten your hands on it yet? Let me know xxx
