Essence All About Eyeshadow (Nudes, Roses, Greys)

Essence All About Eyeshadow (Nudes, Roses, Greys)

The Essence All About Eyeshadows are the latest makeup favorite to grace my beauty desk! The All About collection is available in 5 difference variants and I managed to get the Nudes, Roses and Greys.

At first I wasn’t quite sure whether these eyeshadow palettes would provide enough pigment but low and behold they sure did deliver! Each palette consists of 8 trendy, perfectly aligned colors – from light shades to dark nuances.

I liked that it was an 8 pan palette which meant that you didn’t get too many unnecessary shades that you would not have used anyway and the 8 shades were a good combination of matte, metallic and shimmer shades.

IMG_9311IMG_9310IMG_9312These days I’ve been all about the glittery eyeshadow look and I must say that I gravitated more towards the shimmering shades as I knew I’d be able to achieve stunning looks with them. But how is the quality? If I had to rate it I’d probably give them a 6/10. Mainly because the eyeshadows are in a way “soft” so even if you bump the palette slightly or drop it, the chances are good of it breaking (see my black shade).

I liked that the fall-out wasn’t as bad as I expected considering how soft the eyeshadows are but remember the softer the shadow the better the pigment transfer.

Take a look below at the 3 looks I created using the 3 palettes. Obviously the All About Greys is my favorite! The black shade is the blackest one I’ve used yet and I really loved that so I’ll definitely be returning to the stores to pick up another one:

All About Greys (R76.95)

My first attempt at a cut crease! I just love all the shimmer shades that comes with this palette.

All About Nudes (R76.95)

A definite everyday-go-to palette. Perfect for that everyday look!

All About Roses (R76.95)

Not very pigmented compared to the rest but still great for a fresh spring look!

I got the roses palette and I agree it isn’t very pigmented. I haven’t touched it really, but after seeing you play around with it, I may attempt this. All the looks you did are stunning.

It’s just too close to the nudes. Also I would have preferred if it were a bit more “rosey”. The CATRICE Absolute Rose Eyeshadow Palette seems to be the better option
